Happy Fourth!!
Wow! I haven't blogged in ages! Well, I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy 4th of July.
I hope y'all had a great day. I was going to go see the fireworks here in town with a couple of friends, but our plans kinda got rained out (even though the fireworks still went on, we didn't feel like getting soaked).
That's it for now.

'Ships Survey
I found this really cool relationships survey on another website, so I decided to take it :D
Six ships you like:
1. Luke and Lorelai
2. Casey and Max
3. Ross and Rachel
4. Lori and Declan
5. Lauren and Brody
6. Rory and Jess
Three ships you used to like, but don't anymore:
7. Rory and Dean
8. Casey and Sam
9. Lorelai and Max
Three ships in your various fandoms that you can't stand:
10. Lorelai and Jason
11. Troy and Sharpay
12. Miley and Oliver
Two ships you are curious about but haven't actually started shipping:
13. Kyle and Amanda
14. Lily and Oliver
1. Why do you dislike #11 so much?
Because Troy is supposed to be with Gabriella, so Sharpay just needs to stay out of it
2. Who is someone you know that ships #13?
A lot of Kyle XY fans
3. What would be your ideal scenario for couple #3 (even if the show isn't on the air anymore)?
I really wanted them to get married and raise their child together.
4. Which is your favorite episode for #1? Try to pick just one, if you can.
Raincoats and Recipes because that's when they had their first kiss, and they "officially" started going out (so cute!!)
5. How long have you been following couple #6?
Since Jess showed up in season 2, and they started dating shortly after that. I sorta lost interest when Rory was dating Logan, but then I came back to Jess because Logan proved to be a jerk
6. What's the story with #8? What made you stop liking them/caring?
Because they broke up for stupid reasons
7. Which ship do you prefer - #2 or #4?
#2 (Casey and Max), they are so cute together
8. You have the power to make one ship non existent. Choose from #10 or #12.
#10 (Lorelai and Jason), I mean he tried to sue her father, come on now!!
9. What interests you about #14?
They are best friends and just look really cute together, and there's definately some chemistry there
10. When did you stop liking #7?
Umm...not sure...possibly when they broke up and then he got married and cheated on his wife with Rory (that's just not right)
11. Did your waning interest in #9 kill your interest in the show?
No not at all because I knew somehow she would end up with Luke
12. What's a song that reminds you of #5?
Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield because that's the theme song to the show
13. Which of these ships do you love the most?
LUKE AND LORELAI all the way!!!
14. Which do you dislike the most?
Probably Lorelai and Jason for the reason stated above
15. If you could have any of these two pairings double date, who would it be?
Luke and Lorelai & Rory and Jess
16. Have #2 kissed yet?
Yes, on several occasions and they've only been "officially" dating for about 3 episodes
17. Did #4 have a happy ending?
Not really. He just sporatically broke up with her and she cried. Now it's just really really awkward between the two of them.

Writing for the sake of Writing
Hello to everyone out in blog world.
Today I thought I'd just write about things that have been on my mind.
1. Next week is the last "official" week of classes until Winter Break for a whole month. I am very excited because I really need an extended break from school. It's not that I don't like school, because I do, it's just that everyone needs a break sometime, and I need one now. I am also excited to start a whole new batch of classes next semester. Don't get me wrong, I will miss the classes I have now, but I like new things.
2. My neighbor, Mike, definately should be a weatherman in his next lifetime. He is always telling my mom and I all these random facts about weather. He is affectionately known as "The Weatherman" in my neighborhood. When it is supposed to snow, he runs around the block telling anyone who will listen that it is going to snow. He is quite the character. Yesterday, he told my mom that it is supposed to snow early next week.
Follow up: 12/05/2006: It was flurrying this afternoon at noon on my way home from school, so I guess Mike was right afterall.
3. My high school, Cedar Cliff, is going down a bad road. I recently found out (11/28/2006) that the school received its 7th bomb threat for this year (yes I said 7), there were only 2 total threats throughout the four years I attended the school. My friends and I have spent countless hours trying to figure out how the school could get this bad in only one year.
About a month ago, the school was sponsoring a blood drive with the help of the JROTC program. Two of my friends and I decided to pay a visit to the teacher who was in charge of the drive, Col. Hancock, because we had not seen him since last year, and wanted to say "hi ". We arrived at CC at around 1:00p.m. and went into the front office. I told the secretary that we were there to see Col. Hancock. She told us that we were not allowed to enter the school because we had not made prior arrangements with the school to visit on that particular day, so she sent us away (Note: in years past a student visiting could show up unannounced and get into the school to visit teachers). I knew where the blood drive was taking place because the year before I ran it for Colonel. So, we went down to the doors and got Colonel's attention. He then escorted the three of us to the office in order for us to get into the building. I found this quite ridiculous
In another attempt to make the school "safer," the administrators along with the township police came up with some solutions. First, all doors to the bathrooms must stay open at all times. That just sounds very odd to me. Also, students are not allowed to carry backpacks to class anymore. I do not know if these "fixes" will work in the long run, but we'll see.
I'll keep you posted.

Turkey Day
Adam Sandler says in his song, The Thanksgiving Song, "I like to eat TURKEY!" I completely agree. I wait for this day all year, every year because it is the only time we really eat turkey (aside from turkey burgers on occasion), and I love turkey.
This Thanksgiving was no different than the others my family's celebrated in the fifteen or so years we have lived in the US. My mom got her twenty pound turkey free from the Weis Market (she racked up 250 points on her club card). She popped the bird into the oven at 8:00 a.m. It was nothing too fancy because that would just take away from the great flavor of the turkey. The turkey was finished at around noon, just in time for my family's traditional first helping of turkey. I helped my mom make the stuffing, mashed potatoes, and gravy. She made sweet potatoes and corn. We had to make a quick trip to Giant because my dad insisted on eating pie for dessert, and my mom did not make one. We decided on apple pie because I do not like pumpkin. So, after the whole pie ordeal, we finally sat down to eat our Thanksgiving lunch.
After lunch, my mom and I put the leftovers away for later. An hour later, everyone had fallen asleep (at least I think everyone was because I did not actually see everyone because I was asleep myself).
We had turkey again for dinner. It seemed to taste better the second time around (maybe because it had been resting for hours).
Overall, I'd say this Thanksgiving was very successful. The food was good, which is the most important part. I hope your Thanksgiving was just as good as mine.
